Jenna Pedersen

Speech-Language Pathologist

Jenna is a compassionate and curious speech pathologist who completed her Master of Speech Pathology at The University of Melbourne in 2023.

Prior to that, her journey included a double Bachelor’s degree in Applied Public Health and Global Studies, followed by a Master of Primary Teaching at ACU.

She has teaching experience both in Melbourne and regional Victoria and has channelled her keen interest in evidence-based strategies for language and literacy development into supporting those who the education system may not adequately cater to, knowing what a powerful impact communication skills have on a person’s life.

Jenna enjoys the wide variety of clients and presentations that working as a speech pathologist brings and seeks to continually learn about holistically developing communication skills in neurodiversity-affirming ways. During her speech pathology studies, Jenna worked with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute as a research assistant for the Getting it Right from the Start project – a research project looking to evaluate whether a specifically-designed RTI approach for oral language and literacy instruction targeted to the early years of school can improve children’s language and literacy when compared with usual teaching practice.

In her free time, Jenna is an avid reader and a keen crocheter. She also enjoys exploring new places, both in Australia and abroad, and attempting to taste all the gelato flavours at Messina.

Jenna is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) registered with Speech Pathology Australia.
