Evaluation & Assessment

Olivia personally meets with all new clients for a complimentary consultation prior to beginning sessions at Gameplan. During this time, she completes a detailed case history which collects important background information such as personal interests and strengths, goals for learning and previous reports; all of which are incorporated into the weekly sessions. At the end of the appointment, Olivia provides the student with their unique Gameplan for learning.

In addition to this, our clinicians use a range of standardised and non-standardised assessment procedures to identify the individualised gameplan for learning. Speech language pathologists are trained to administer a range of speech, language and literacy assessments to identify the skills that contribute to academic achievement. These assessments are highly reliable and valid indicators of achievement in specific skills and we use this information to carefully craft a unique and tailored learning plan for the client. We regularly reassess to ensure that our intervention is working.
