BIG Thinkers - Mondays (Term Program)
Gameplan’s BIG Thinkers are SEL programs designed for 6-11 year-olds that honour authentic communication between all people. We do not teach "appropriate and inappropriate" ways to navigate the social world. Instead, we employ neurodiverse affirming practices to assist in social emotional development. By focussing on perspective taking, self-advocacy and personal empowerment, we assist individuals to take part in engaging and fulfilling interactions with each other.
In each session, we focus on an area of need derived from our detailed observation processes as well as a range of super fun, structured activities where your children can practice their developing skills. They will engage in craft, science, art, building, gardening and cooking activities each week. No week is ever the same and our participants love attending our engaging groups each week, especially our end of term parties!
Participants are grouped according to age, need and friendships within the groups!

Parents/carers receive written and verbal feedback after each session with further recommendations.

We employ neuro-affirming and inclusive practices based on current evidence.
PRE-PROGRAM ASSESSMENT
Children joining us at Gameplan for the first time may require a pre-program assessment. Gameplan’s assessment fee of $250.00 per 60min will apply.

Gameplan Consultants Emma Squires, Charlotte Scaunich, and Megan Sequeira are the experts delivering BIG Thinkers.
DETAILS
Session dates: Term 4 2024
10 sessions on Mondays: 7/10, 14/10, 21/10, 28/10, 4/11, 11/11, 18/11, 25/11, 2/12, 9/12
Participants: maximum of 9.
Session duration: 60 minutes intervention with group feedback (outside) and individual feedback email delivered after each session. Delivered online and in-person. If applicable, please ensure your child arrives no later than 4.25pm each Monday. Your child will be ready for collection at 5.30pm.
Fees: BIG Thinkers Term Program Subscription = Monday $1,490.00
Funding and rebate options: Medicare, NDIS and private health insurance.

BIG Thinkers Game-On! (Holiday Program)
Our school holiday program is a super fun (yet educational!) program designed to help children learn about themselves and build authentic relationships through games, craft, Lego, cooking, snack-times, role-plays, physical movement and music!
Run by our talented crew of speech pathologists, we’ll engage the children in a range of fun activities, based on their areas of interest.
Participants will learn about:

At the end of the program you will receive a short progress report with recommendations for future support.
Location: in person, at Gameplan.
Age range: 6-11yrs, kids grouped according to age, needs and friendships!
Time commitment: 5 sessions, 2nd week school holidays, 10-11.15am each day.
